Tubo is the name under which Hugo Therkelson and Tobias Ulfvebrand are collaborating. It’s a platform for creating performing art and music. After working together in ”Vill ha hund” at Dockteatern Tittut, they continued into making ”Snö” creating music and choreography together. Both pieces have been critically acclaimed, touring internationally and were chosen for BIBU (National theatre festival for young and children) 2020 and 2022.
After the success with ”Vill ha hund” and ”Snö” they decided to develop their concept of dance, object theatre, music and creative sound design further, hence Tubo started working as an entity of its own.
”Avig”, is a dance theatre piece for four dancers where Tubo collaborated with director Martin Hasselgren, which had premiere at Dansens Hus 22 March 2024. It’s produced together with Unga Dramaten , with support from Kulturrådet, Region Stockholm and Konstnärsnämnden. It was touring all over Stockholm with Parkteatern in the summer of 2024, and will have a run at The Royal Dramatic Theatre (Dramaten) during November.
New creation ”Tajming” will premiere on Februari 7 in 2025, at Regionteater Väst in Borås. Rehearsals will start in December 2024.
